The mastermind behind the creation

Hi, I’m Gianna, the hands and heart behind GiCreates 216. I started my business at just 15 years old, growing up in a financially tight home, with six siblings and a dream of more. Like many teens, I wanted the little things everyone else had; clothes, the nice shoes, a sense of confidence... but constantly being told “no” in a material world lit a fire in me to create what I couldn’t afford to buy.

That’s how my first brand, Golden Kissez, was born; a cosmetics line built from ambition. But as a tomboy, I struggled to connect with the beauty world. The passion wasn’t there.

Then 2020 hit. I was 17, stuck in a pandemic, broke, depressed, and using art as my only therapy. I started painting phone cases just to feel something, and people loved them. That hobby became something more. My designs turned into tie-dye socks, custom music plaques, and eventually custom lighters; one of my best-sellers to this day!

That’s when GiCreates was born.
“Gi” is my nickname. I create every piece by hand. And 216? That’s Cleveland, where I was born, where I built this, and where my roots will always be. I added it to my brand because even when I moved out of Cleveland in 2021, I wanted people to know:
I am Cleveland made.

Today, I’m a 22-year-old stay-at-home mompreneur, raising my daughter and running a business with over 100 custom products. Every order I make is a little piece of my journey.
